2020 Subaru Outback Redesign, Hybrid, Release Date, Price. The Outback is the brand’s another strong, high-riding model which also performs well on all fronts. The Outback received the refresh for the 2018 model year and the 2019 Subaru Outback is now closing to the launch date.
Still, reports reveal that Subaru will make the EyeSight Driver Assist Technology the part of every Outback. Some reports also suggest that a new turbo-4 engine form the all-new Ascent could be the replacement for Outback’s current 3.6-liter engine.
2019 SUBARU OUTBACK PERFORMANCE
The current Outback employs two engine options and the proven all-wheel-drive capability. The continuously variable transmission is also the part of the system.
A 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine makes 175 hp and torque of 174 lb-ft. With this engine, EPA rates the Outback to 32 mpg highway and 28 mpg combined which is very good.
The Outback also uses the 3.6-liter V-6 in the current version to provide better performance. This engine delivers 256 hp and 247 lb-ft o torque. The fuel economy drops to 22 mpg combined with this engine under the hood.
Still unconfirmed but mentioned is the introduction of the 2.4-liter turbo-4 engine from the new Ascent as the replacement for the V-6 unit. In the Ascent, this engine produces 260 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque.
2019 SUBARU OUTBACK DESIGN
With the recent refresh for the 2018 version, the Outback is in the line with brand’s new styling language and the brand won’t, of course, intervene on the exterior of the new 2019 Subaru Outback.
The last refresh made the Outback more aggressively styled. The Outback also includes the headlights with the C-shaped signature LEDs which also wear the newest models from the range.
Inside the cabin, the Outback also benefits from the last year update and no big changes are to be set for the new version. The Outback also provides great head and leg room for the passengers and the cargo capacity.
The Outback also provides strong in-cabin technology and features from the base version. The model also offers plenty of active safety systems and for the new model year, the firm will equip all Outbacks with the EyeSight suite. The model will also employ the blind-spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert.
