2021 Ford Everest Price, Specs, Interior, and Redesign

2021 Ford Everest Price, Specs, Interior, and Redesign. The Everest is a rare bird in today’s automotive industry for many reasons. Of all, it is one of the rare models today that are designed for a specific market. Also, it is a genuine, truck-based SUV, which rides on a traditional body-on-frame platform, which isn’t such common thing anymore. Normally, we would expect that such state has to end soon, especially if we consider that the company is preparing a bunch of new models for the near future, which could serve for the global market. Ford has different things in mind and the latest reports are suggesting that the 2021 Ford Everest will come completely redesigned. It is expected to come with a lot of novelties, according to unofficial reports. The official ones are still unavailable. Expect to see the new model sometime in the next year.

2021 Ford Everest Exterior

The upcoming 2021 Ford Everest will hit the dealerships once again. This time, Blue Oval automaker won’t deliver major updates. Everest SUV is based on the mid-size Ranger pickup truck. There is still room for seven passengers across the three rows of seats. Interior looks modern and it provides great comfort. Everest’s cabin is spacious and practical.

From the outside, this SUV looks robust. On the other hand, some parts are looking stylish. The 2020 model started the third-generation and it arrived with significant upgrades. The new 2021 Everest will mostly arrive as a carryover. One thing we all anticipate is the Everest Raptor variant.

2021 Ford Everest Specs

2021 Ford Everest Engine

If the rumors are true, the 2021 Ford Everest will arrive with the same three engine choices. A 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder unit comes and standard. It can produce 240 HP and 270 lb-ft of torque. Optionally, a 3.2-liter five-cylinder engine is available as well. This gasoline variant generates 200 HP and 340 lb-ft of twist. Finally, a third engine choice is diesel. A 2.2-liter four-cylinder delivers 150 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. All three powertrain options are available with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.

2021 Ford Everest Redesign

The third-gen Everest will look like its predecessor. That means the most of the body is a clear carryover. The 2021 Ford Everest won’t get major changes and updates. Blue Oval automaker will deliver small visual updates that are barely visible. More aluminum materials should reduce the overall vehicle’s weight. Aerodynamics is slightly improved but this SUV still looks rugged.

The front fascia now wears more chrome accents and Everest is now available with more standard equipment. Some changes will happen in the optional department. Ford will offer all-new 19-inch alloy wheels.

Interior Updates

From the inside, a new 2021 Ford Everest will look perfect. Its cabin offers literally everything you could ask for. That includes a spacious cabin, ample legroom, great comfort and plenty of modern features. As you probably know, Everest SUV is based on the mid-size Ranger pickup. Those two models will share plenty of stuff.

The same dashboard, same seats, and similar layout are visible at first glance. The 2021 Everest will offer a room for seven persons. The base model comes with cloth upholstery and a long list of standard features. SYNC3 infotainment system will get a significant update and we can expect more safety equipment in 2021.

Everest Raptor

After months of speculations, the 2021 Ford Everest will finally get its high-performance version. Everest Raptor will most likely arrive at the beginning of 2021. This model will share a lot with Ford Ranger pickup, probably the powertrain as well. Exterior will wear more carbon fiber materials and it will look sportier than the regular model.

Even from the inside, we can expect standard leather seats and contrast stitching. Unlike the regular seven-seat version, Everest Raptor will offer a room for five passengers. Under the hood, this high-performance variant will deploy a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6. This powertrain is producing 325 horses and 385 lb-ft of torque.

If we can rely on the latest reports, the 2021 Ford Everest is about to come completely redesigned. If we consider that the current model has been around since 2012, this makes perfect sense, despite the fact that there aren’t too many competitors these days. The Everest competes primarily in Australia and there is just a couple of competitors, models like Toyota Fortuner and Isuzu MU-X. All three models are rugged SUVs, without compromises, focused on utility and off-road performances.

Therefore, we don’t expect that the 2021 Ford Everest will change its nature too much. We have no doubt that will continue with a body-on-frame platform, most likely based on the new Bronco, which is expected to come next year. In practice, this means the same platform as the current model, though with significant improvements and plenty of new design solutions, borrowed directly from the F-150.

Price and Release Date

The forthcoming 2021 Ford Everest will retain its current price. This model starts at $45,000. Upper trims are priced at over $52,000. New 2021 Everest Raptor will cost around $60,000. Blue Oval will launch its new large SUV in the second half of 2020.
